How to set Active mode in Filezilla FTP client

If at all you connect and log in using userid and password, the connection is dropped when trying to retrieve directory listing, giving the error message: "Failed to retrieve directory listing"

This error can be resolved by changing the FTP mode from passive to Active,

 

1) For Filezilla
2) Open File Zilla
3) Go to Edit > Settings
4) Select FTP
5) On Right Hand side - Select Transfer mode as "Active"
6) Click Ok
7) Restart Filezilla
